Press triangle to use Princess Cecille or Legatus Laendur's magic. Pressing up + triangle or down + triangle changes the spell you cast and each time an Exemplar attacks an enemy you recover a little bit of mana.

Cassandra's Coil[ | ]
CassandrasCoil

Cassandra's Coil

Fires three bolts of pure energy at the foremost enemy.

The goddess Cassandra peered into the blinding light of a distant sun. She dissected the elements and watched as the electrons danced from one atom to the next. She gazed as the star's mass collapsed into its core. With fervor in her eyes, she examined the bursting sun and how its untamed energy engulfed nearby worlds. Cassandra was pleased as she gained the knowledge to do this herself.

Cassandra's Lunacy[ | ]
CassandrasLunacy

Cassandra's Lunacy

Consumes all of Cecille's magic meters to summon the goddess Cassandra to the battlefield. Does additional damage depending on how many magic meters are full.

Followers of Cassandra are aware her quest to cure her madness is a paradox. The goddess' unquenchable thirst for knowledge is what drove her insane. Devout priests do not ignore this fact, but rather embrace it through the Lumen Doctrine. This reads, "Those that ruminate on why Cassandra continues to desire knowledge will descend into madness with her."

Devon's Wager[ | ]
DevonsWager

Devon's Wager

Debilitates enemies with a wave of debuffs. May have additional effects...

No soldier can fight forever and Mortyyn had a twisted way to deal with deserters. Anyone caught abandoning Mortyyn's legion would be brought to an academy with neophyte soulmancers. The fate of the deserter would depend on the lesson of the day. Would it be channeling frigid winds? Making flames dance? Or bending gravity to crush a person's bones? Nobody knew what the punishment would be so this rite was given a name – Devon's Wager.

Elysia's Blessing[ | ]
ElysiasBlessing

Elysia's Blessing

Recovers a medium amount of HP for all Exemplars.

Durant, a soulmancer who specialized in the healing arts, was summoned to a remote hamlet. When he arrived he saw his patient, a father chained to a bed with blood dripping from his eyes. Durant channeled a green light from Elysia into the frail patient. Vitality poured through the sickly man's veins and he tore off the iron chains. His son burst into the room and tackled Durant to the ground, but it was too late. With his vigor restored, the malignant man clawed at Durant until he collapsed.

Tarquinius raised his shield and deflected an axe thrown by the Minotaur standing before him. He blocked a second, but the third flew right into shoulder. The beast growled as it lunged forward and crushed his legs. Tarquinius expected to wince in pain, but to his surprise he had a surge of focus. Fueled by newfound clarity, Tarquinius gathered unforeseen strength and thrusted his halberd into the monster.

Spectral Gash[ | ]
SpectralGash

Spectral Gash

Pierces the rear enemy with ghastly blades and makes the foe startled.

It is a rite of passage for a general to send their comrades into a hopeless battle. While most generals avoid the frontlines in those situations, General Imara led the charge against an orc onslaught. She stood with her legion and then she stood alone. Snarling at Imara's last stand, an orc raised its hammer above her head. Suddenly, blades rose from the ground and eviscerated the brute. Swords controlled not by soldiers, but fallen friends gave General Imara the Pyrrhic victory she hoped for.

Unlike our plane of existence which is made of matter, soulmancy draws from a plane built of ideas and emotion. Avia, a Bywrnish general from the ancient city of Tyr, was fascinated with drakes. She watched the magnificent lizards fly overhead and dreamt of soaring in the skies. Every day Avia would rise at dawn and mimic how drakes flew with her blade until one day a swift slash cut the wind itself. The beam from her sword danced behind the drakes before cutting the entire flock into two.

A Byrwnish legend says Dafydd skillfully guided his legions to force Mortyyn in the Blighted Cave. Dafydd, pleased that his trap worked, stormed in with confidence. Mortyyn struck first, binding Dafydd to the ground with an apparition of ghastly hands. Dafydd smirked as Mortyyn hungrily lurched towards him. Staring at his nemesis eye to eye, Dafydd punched the ground and created a stone spear that impaled them both.

FractureFortissimo

Fracture Fortissimo

Renders all foes defenseless for 5 seconds.

Ages before Iria was absorbed into Fenumia's Empire, the snowy village was protected by a great wall. Slain soldiers were buried at its base so their spirits could continue to protect their home. When Fenumia sought Iria's rich palladium mines the Emperor did not send an army. Instead, a lone Fenumian bard, lute in hand, arrived at the wall and strummed Fracture Fortissimo. Before the song was finished the wall collapsed and the bard, slyly smiling, disappeared in the mountains.
